On August 11, 2026, Giresun Guidance and Research Center (RAM) Director Sedat Sarıgül and Bulancak Science and Art Center (BİLSEM) Director Baysan Banu Uzun visited Giresun University Child Rights Application and Research Center (ÇOHAM).
During the meeting with the guests hosted by ÇOHAM Director Prof. Dr. Çağla Yiğitbaş, efforts to support children in education, development and psychosocial aspects and inter-institutional cooperation opportunities that can be developed in the field of children's rights were discussed.
Within the scope of the visit, views were exchanged on guidance and psychological counseling services, education processes of gifted children, observing individual differences of children and supportive practices for each child to realize their potential.
In addition, opportunities were evaluated to raise social awareness on children's rights, to strengthen children's rights to education and development, and to develop joint education, research and social responsibility activities that bring together the areas of expertise of different institutions. The
visit, in which the importance of an interdisciplinary approach based on the best interests of children was emphasized, was considered as a productive meeting in terms of strengthening the communication between ÇOHAM and educational institutions and joint studies that can be carried out in the future.
