As part of the "November 20th World Children's Rights Day" events, a "Children's Rights Corner" was prepared on November 18, 2024, at the Giresun Women's and Children's Hospital, under the coordination of the Giresun University Children's Rights Research and Application Center and by students from the Midwifery Department of the Giresun University Faculty of Health Sciences.
The opening of the Children's Rights Corner was performed by Giresun Deputy Governor Mehmet Fatih YAKINOĞLU. The opening ceremony was attended by the Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet BULUT, Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berkan ŞAHİN, and the Director of the Children's Rights Research Center Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasemin MAMUR IŞIKÇI. The program continued with a violin performance by students from Bulancak BİLSEM, followed by midwifery students providing information on children's rights to inpatients and outpatients, as well as their parents. The midwifery students' counseling and information activities will continue throughout the week at the hospital.
