The Society for Children's Studies was established in 2016 within the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and later expanded to include students from all departments. The main purpose of the community is to raise public awareness of children's rights and to work to strengthen children. The Group has been providing privacy and security trainings through the theater to primary schools and kindergartens since it was established to achieve these goals. In 2017, with the contributions of the Group, SERÇEV opened a photography exhibition consisting of works of children with cerebral palsy from Ankara. In addition, the World Children's Rights Panel and Workshop was organized for the first time on November 20, 2017 at the University. On 23 April 2018, the activities of the Giresun High School students' music concert and the painting exhibition of the children of Sevgi Houses were realized through the Community activities.
