On September 20, 2026, Prof. Dr. Çağla Yiğitbaş, Director of Giresun University Child Rights Application and Research Center (ÇOHAM), visited Nigar Hakyemez, Deputy Provincial Director of Giresun Family and Social Services, in her office.
During the visit, mutual views and information were exchanged on the protection and promotion of children's rights, social services for children, and the best interests of children.
During the meeting, the services for children in the area of responsibility of Deputy Provincial Director Nigar Hakyemez, the work carried out and the problems faced by children were discussed. The importance of inter-institutional cooperation in protecting and supporting children and strengthening their access to their rights was emphasized.
In addition, the contributions of the academic knowledge of Giresun University Child Rights Application and Research Center and the field experiences of the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services to the studies in the field of children's rights were evaluated.
The visit was held as an important meeting in terms of improving communication and cooperation between the university and public institutions in the field of children's rights.
